Olkkari was originated out of deep desire to create a unique experience and ambiance to the restaurant industry, the restaurant staff and customers alike.

Ravinteli Olkkari combines the spirit of a neighborhood cocktail bar with the quality of a high-end restaurant.

The decor highlights design from past decades and aesthetic beauty, while maintaining modern minimalism and cleanliness.

The service focuses not only on expertise but also on the personal passion of the staff, and the comfortable space emphasizes the unique character and personality of each employee.

Ravinteli Olkkari is a contemporary, approachable fusion restaurant that emphasizes the use of seasonally available and locally sourced ingredients.

In 2019 the idea was established, in September 2023 the dream team and premises were found. Olkkari’s vision began to build on the well-known restaurant district, one small detail at a time, tickling nostalgia for a different era.

Custom made sofas and a bespoke bar counter – are the fruits of founder Daniel’s vision, bringing an authentic feel to the space. Here, time seems to stand still as every hue and glimmer of light welcomes you in.

Art works by local artists adorn the walls, adding depth and story to the space. Olkkari is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience – a time capsule that takes you on a journey through history and the present.

This is how Olkkari came to life – as a unique living room in the city, telling a new story with every visit.

Anthonio Maimon
Head chef

Olkkari’s Head Chef Anthonio Maimon’s career started as a dishwasher in 2010 and has led over the years to working in the kitchens of more than ten quality restaurants, as well as setting up his own restaurant in Portugal, Restaurant Harvest. Tony’s strength lies in concepts and his extensive knowledge of food cultures. He loves strong flavours, especially Scandinavian and Asian, with respect for the raw materials at the heart of everything.

Kin On Tham
Sous-chef

Sous-chef Kin On Tham fell in love with food as a child in his parents’ kitchen at Pikku-Roba, and his life with it continues into its third decade. Over the years Kin has managed kitchens in restaurants in Helsinki (Loosister, Naples, Sushibar+Wine), gained experience all over Europe and worked with food in Australia as well.

Cocktails

The Olkkari bar sums up the essence of the restaurant: we respect timeless classics, but let the creativity flourish. We surprise with cocktails that reflect the experience and personality of our professionals – one of which was inspired by an ancient Playboy issue.

Living room (li‧ving‧room)

A living room is a room in a home that is used for vapaa-ajan leisure activities such as lounging, relaxing and socialising with your family or friends.

Menu

Olkkar’s food is summed up in the words freshness, seasonality, ingredients and creativity. Classic dishes are adapted with a new twist, highlighting the best of the season and Nordic Asian flavours.
